The first house from the left is that of The Assistant Manager's Bungalow on Kamuning Estate dated 1936 where Boris and Jean Hembry lived on for 14 years. The next photograph was that of a bungalow at Waterloo estate dated 1935, this particular estate (Waterloo) was located in Padang Rengas, some six miles north of the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar, this was Boris and Jean Hembry's first married home and Boris' first managership.

The final photograph is that of the Manager's house at Kamuning estate pictured in 1950 following renovation works to make it more secure from attack. The ground level of the house, which normally would be open, was boarded up.
