Kwang Wah Yit Poh Press Cutting - Visit To Han Chin Pet Soo
This article, dated 17 March 2015, talks about the new exhibition at Han Chin Pet Soo. The reporter mentions his fascination of the sound effects - which are part of the features of this exhibition. He talks about one particular dialogue, involving the Supervisor and the Coolie; the Supervisor of the mine seems to be chastising the Coolie over the monitor.
These sound effects can be found in the mining scene and also in the gambling den (on the first floor of the building). The Han Chin Villa was once a Hakka Miner's Club, started by the famed miner Towkay Leong Fee.
