The images of the receipts in this entry were issued by The Nautilus Inn that was located on Leong Sin Nam Street. According to our blog followers, it was a popular eatery in the 80's and were known for their prawn & seafood cocktails, chicken chops as well as steaks and fancy desserts as well.

The owners of The Nautilus Inn was Phillip Chang and Abu Bakar. A family member of Phillip mentioned that with them being part of a group of scuba divers inspired the origins of the restaurant's name. Business may have started in the late 70's or the early 80's according to the same family member. Philip being a keen diver, decorated the restaurant with all the treasures he found from the seas, including several stuffed puffer fish hanging from the ceiling, according to Charlie Choong.

In the later years when the partnership split, Phillip started Beacon Point in Ipoh Garden South and Abu Bakar went into the car business, Honda cars that was along Brewster Road which then expanded to Fair Park (from the accounts of Grace Wong and Dominic Harry Goh).
