'For The Trumpet is Sounding, The Legacy Lives On!' is a book about the history of the St. Michael's Institution School Band or popularly known as the Michaelian Military Band written by an alumni of the band himself, Tan Wei Shern.

The contents of the book include 13 chapters, which begins with the formation of the Michaelian Band - the founding years and ends with fun facts about instruments that are used in bands. It also includes messages from the author, the foreword by the founding Brother, a message from one of the former Brother-Directors of St. Michael's Institution - Brother Vincent Corkery and also a photo gallery of the band taken in various years.
