The photograph in this entry is that of a wooden bucket which was likely used to fetch water from wells. From the design of the bucket, a rope was likely tied to the handle and the bucket would have been slowly lowered into a well to fetch water.
A common household item back in the day before modern piping and irrigation was implemented.
