Remark :

The photographs in this entry are those of two different capings (modesty discs). Usually made of silver, these are usually worn by children of the Royals and Nobles. It is said that the use of these capings was to ward off evil spirits.

The first two photographs from the left are those of a caping which has gold plate in the centre whereas the last two photographs are those of a caping made of silver through a metalworking technique called 'Chasing' or 'Repousse' (in French).
