The pictures show:

  • Caterpillar D 8 stuck in the mud. Alan states that "we built an airstrip in the Cameron Highlands near Brinchang, working with some difficlty at times".
  • Cameron landslide, 1956
  • Cameron landslice Saracen; according to Alan "This Saracen of 15/19th Huzzars fell 400 ft over the edge into the river bed, swollen by monsoon rains. Myself and several others were sent to recover arms, ammo, food and anything of use to the CT's".
  • Camerons Civilian cars buried near Tanah Rata. The occupants didn't survive.
  • The Bedford now upright was recovered by 13 Inf. This Bedford with about a dozen Gurkhas ended up like this. All were rescued.
