Vintage Shell Road Map Of George Town, Penang
This is a vintage road map of George Town, Penang published by The Shell Co. Of The Federation Of Malaya Ltd. Due to the company's significant changes in its logo design throughout the years, the one on the map suggests that it was printed between 1955 and 1960 during the Federation of Malaya by Tien Wah Press Ltd.
Shell company's catchy advertising slogan "You can be sure of Shell" can be found printed on the back cover of the map (image on the left). The map itself (right) is hand drawn, covers the whole George Town area and highlights the "major places of interest" throughout the place. The map is still in a good, unused condition despite some light aging and couple of edge tears.
