Austin Seven Chummy At Chee Cheong Foundry
This photograph taken in Kampar in early 1957 shows the Austin Seven Chummy (Registration A 194) belonging to our donor's father, Choong Ah Thong, who is in the driver's seat. Cousin Paul Loke is at the back of the car and his sister Peggy is standing at the far side. Relaxing on the bonnet is Victor our donor's brother.
Pm the background is the Choong Kee Foundry Kampang House.
On the passing of Choong Ah Thong the car was sold to a European Douglas Hemnel, believed to be a local rubber planter.
