Two Business Envelopes From Ipoh
These two envelopes were sent from Ipoh to Arthur and Co (Exporters) of Queen Street Glasgow, Scotland from companies in Ipoh about one year apart.
The first, from P S Jamnadas and Coof 132 Belfield Street, Ipoh who were Drapers, Tailors and Oufutters. It was sent by Ait Mail on 6 July 1933. The envelope is very decorative with sketches of a lady with alternative clothing and a very shapely pair of legs. We understand that the shop moved to 15/17 Market Street, ipoh the following year.
The second envelope from the Market Street premises was sent on 6 May 1934 and forgoes the sketches on the earlie sample.
