Remark :

The article centers on the Perak Heritage Society's call for the work to preserve the Tanjung Tualang dredge to be carried out according to the Heritage Act 2005. Mohd. Taib  Mohamed the president of the society applauded the move by Malaysian Champber of Mines (MCM) in launching the "Save-the-Dredge Fund" to transform the rusting monument into a living museum.

Built by FW Payne & Sons in 1938 at a cost of three million straits dollars (approximately RM30 million today), the dredge was managed as a tourist attraction by Century Mission Sdn Bhd since it was opened for public tours in 2008.
