Press Cutting - Into A Lost World.
This article, published by Star 2 on 20 August 2011 features the so-called 6th Mile tunnel at Tambun, todat within the boundaries of the Sunway "Lost World of Tambun".
The tunnel is about 700 meteres long and it takes about 3 hours to explore. Quite wide and tall apart from Wading in water and ducking your head frequently, it is a comparatively easy walk. Once used as a tin mine and allegedly as a Communist sanctuary, exploring the tunnel is said to be a lot of fun with interesting rock formations, stalagmites and stalactites.
For those into nature there is also a variety of insects and slithering creatures to keep you company, including frogs with glowing eyes and pythons.
At the end of the tunnel one enters the Lost Valley and after a short trek one finds a broken down fort, all sorts of flora and fauna, a stream with fish and a mini waterfall.
The way back to civilization is ti return to the tunnel and its mysterious inhabitants.
