Manufactured in Solingen by the German hardware manufacturing company Carl Schlieper, the company produced tools, steel safes, locks, charcoal, heavy machinery, bathroom fixtures and coffee grinders but after world war 2, the company scaled down to focus on cutlery.
A pair of scissors, kmown as Shears in the tailoring trade, and commonly used in home dressmaking, this right handed No.8 scissors once belonged to our donor, Madam Ko.
