We thank Ann Kesselring Hamon (daughter of Ralph Kesselring) for these pictures, scanned from 35mm Kodachrome slides. Ann shared the following details, regarding the pictures, with us:

Harold and Angela Wakefield. Harold was retired professor of English from the University of London. He co-authored Advanced Learner's Dictionary of Current English published by University of London. He and Angela restarted the Shakespeare plays at ACS Ipoh. Came to Ipoh and taught at ACS in 1948-1950s. Angela was President of the YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association) in Ipoh in 1951.

 

The pictures show: Harold Wakefield, standing in front of Anglo Chinese School (ACS Ipoh); Harold, Angela and one of their sons. According to our donor (Ann), the Wakefields had three children - Chris, Frank and a daughter (name unknown).
