The photograph in this entry is that of a box of Drummer Dyes. These dyes were manufactured by William Edge and Sons which was started by William Edge in the early 1870s in Lancanshire. As the company expanded, special shading blues, special tints for cotton and linen fabrics and their cotton softeners, coth glazes and fillers, bleachers soap etc, found a ready market in America, Canada, India, France, Holland, Belguim, Sweden, as well as in the various bleachworks in the UK.

This box of dyes are also new old stock.
