From left to right, the pictures show:

  1. Pre Independence Election poster. Ali Pitchay stood as a candidate for Pasir Puteh, under the Alliance Party. This is the front of the poster.
  2. The back of the above poster, showing how ballots are to be marked. Polling date is stated as 8 December 1955.
  3. An Oath of Secrecy taken by election candidates.
  4. The back of the oath, detailing the elections ordinance.
