This photograph was taken by A E Kaulfuss, a German photographer who resided in Penang from 1883 to 1908. It is part of an album collection held by the library of Leiden University. The text (in German) in the album clearly states this is Ipoh and was taken by Kaulfuss. No sprcific date is given and we estimate it as c1900.
