Location : Sungai Siput, Perak
Estimated Year : 1968
Media Type : Photograph
Source : Pat Price, Sydney, Australia
Remark : The photograph taken by Pat Price of Sydney Australia and donated by him shows Dr Tweedie (in dark clothes) and on his left hand Mrs Anne Price. Dr Tweedie's famous White House (now sadly demolished) is behind them.

Pat Price, a miner in Perak for 35 years, recalls that Dr Tweedie was reported to have a mixed reputation with the local planters, who were the main target in the Emergency, and that some of them thought he was slightly sympathetic to the Communists Terrorists (CTs). Pat also remembers the Houseboy a Punjabi around 6 feet 2 inches tall and dressed accordingly who would ring the bell for lunch and serve at table with all the graces traditional at an English table.
