Remark : Unique in Malaya was this one-man battery-operated street cleansing vehicle. Back in the 1960's Ipoh had a well deserved reputation of being the cleanest town in the Federation of Malaya. One of the reasons of gaining such a reputation was the modernized and organized cleaning section of the town council.
