Career : Assistant Master, ACS Kampar and Ipoh 1936/53, Principal, ACS Teluk Anson, 1954 and ACS Ipoh 1957. Awarded British Council Scholarship for a year’s study at Central School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art, Albert Hall, London in 1949 and in 1955 awarded a six-month United States Grant for travel in US and a course in Education Administration and Supervision at Columbia University, New York. Public activity : general secretary in Perak Teachers’ Union 1948/49 and 1951/52; president of Malayan Graduate Teachers Union 1952/1956 and Pan-Malayan Council of Stamford Club 1953/54; president Rotary Club, Teluk Anson 1956. Recreation : Dramatics, cricket and hockey. Address : ACS, Ipoh.
