The NTPS (Tamil) Methodist School, Tamil Settlement, Ipoh - The Fourth Year Parents' Day Concert
These two photographs show:
The audience watching the concert (left) on 3rd December 1964 with (sitting centre), Ralph Kesselring, missionary and at the time District Superintendent Methodist Church, Perak who was nominated President of the gathering for the day. He had also served as one of the Principals of Anglo-Chinese School (ACS), Ipoh.
The second photograph (right) is of Ralph thanking giving his opening speech. The Head Teacher, Reverend K Barnabus, standing beside him had previously given the 'Welcome Address'.
When the photographs were taken the school was not at the above address, but at its previous location in the Tamil Settlement Methodist Church grounds about 1 km away. The original school was built in 1948 but was rebuilt 1n 1998 at a new location, opening in 2000.
