Remark : From left to right the photographs show:

  • The supply pack has been ejected out and as the static lines spill out it will open the chute which is an “R” type.

  • The chute has now deployed and it looks that the chute will hit the bull’s eye right in the DZ.

  • The crew commander monitors the progress of the parachute in order to inform the pilot of its landing position on the DZ. The position will be indicated using these terms: overshoot (away from the DZ), undershoot (short of the DZ), 9 o’clock (left) and 3 o’clock (right) etc.
