Remark :

These mining sieves were used in conjunction with dulangs to further separate the raw tin ore from the surrounding sand. In the picture on the left One of the two sieves carries a small brass plate on which is written the date, ding mau, in chinese characters which dates the item as the year of the rabbit 1927. The other is unmarked. The sieves measure 29cm diameter and 28cm respectively. They are made of copper and steel.

On the right is another example also with a small name-plate attached.
