Remark : Washing enlisted men’s dishes at Christmas has been an army tradition for generations of officers in the British military. The picture shows Major Stewart, the officer in white shirt leading a group of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO's) during an after lunch Christmas clean-up. The others in the photograph have not been identified.
