Remark : This panorama shows the Ipoh Motors workshop (formerly known as Cycle and Carriage) along Brewster Road. It was established by the Chua Brothers in 1899, selling soap, writing paper, simple machine parts and bicycles. The company was one of the earliest motor vehicle companies, which also specialized in Mercedes Benz motorcars – a favourite with the miners in Ipoh. In the picture, the Ipoh Motors station can be seen facing the centre. This service station is now a large furniture shop. The white building on the right is the Food Control Building. On the far left, there is a jeep exiting Laxamana Road.
