Remark : This series of photographs shows the breathtaking beauty of Cameron Highlands, Pahang. Looking at the pictures of Cameron Highlands in the days gone by compared to today just goes to show how development has devastated the countryside.

From left to right the photographs show:

  • The picture shows a military post with 3 Nissen Huts on the left. The Nissen hut is a prefabricated steel structure made from a half-cylindrical skin of corrugated steel and used by the Commonwealth and U.S. military to build army camps and airbases. A Nissen hut is made from a sheet of metal bent into half a cylinder and planted in the ground with its axis horizontal. The cross-section was not precisely semi-circular, as the bottom of the hut curved in slightly.

  • A very well taken picture of Cameron Highland’s Blue Valley, the tea plantations can be seen on the left and right of the picture.

  • Another view of one of Cameron Highland’s many tea plantations serenely located beneath the low over hanging clouds.
