This is a picture of the wooden shed in the compound of St Joseph's Catholic Church, in Batu Gajah. This shed was also the first ‘school block’ of St Bernadettes Convent. The school started off with 3 teachers and 3 classrooms. Later in the 1950s, the HIJ nuns managed to get a piece of land to build a better school.
