Remark : Paul Leong Hoong Sen is the grandson of Towkay Leong Fee and the youngest son of Leong Eng Khean and his second wife Chow Yoon Soo. Leong Eng Khean was the first son of Leong Fee. The photograph was provided by Sybil de Roquigny, granddaughter of Towkay Leong Fee and niece of Paul. Her maiden name was Sybil Wong Sui Mei. The photograph was taken while he was in University in Hong Kong.
Paul always wanted to go to University for further studies but initially Leong Eng Khean refused. It was only through the intervention of Leong Fee’s youngest wife “Sam Poh Tai” as she was known that Leong Eng Khean agreed to send him to Lingnan University. He fled Lingnan University in Guangzho for Hong Kong when the Communists arrived, having defeated the Kuomintang.
He married Serana Fung Lan Yee from Hong Kong and they have (in 2010) two daughters. The first, Dr Peggy Leong Lai Ching, who was Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs of Harvard School of Dental Medicine for 6 years (2001-2007)) has moved over to California to the University of California at San Francisco, School of Dentistry to be closer to her mother’s family.
Susan Leong Sook Ching, Paul’s second daughter worked in the library of Wellesley College for Women in Wellesley, Massachusetts (College attended by Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright).
Paul Leong also had a third daughter, Leong Wei Ching but his second wife, Beh Suan Goey died in a car crash when the child was 18 months old. He remarried for the third time shortly after her death. Paul now (2010) lives with his three daughters in the USA.
