Press Cutting - The Perak Shimbun - Prayers For Victory
The press cutting from the single sheet propaganda newspaper Perak Shimbun of December 12 2604 (1944)reports that a prayer service was held at the Methodist Church Tamil Settlement Ipoh on Thursday at 9 am when thanks were offered to god for the deliverances of Malaysia from a century old grip of the Western powers and also prayed for a victorious end of the war. Christians were then exhorted to go hand-in-hand with their communities to turn Malaysia self-sufficient. Prayers were also offered at other places of worship.
