Remark : When military are safely camped at night with sentries posted there always seems to be time for taking photographs. The royal Scots Fusiliers were no different and here we have three pictures taken while on anti-communist patrol in the jungles of Perak. From left to right they show :

One of the patrol in his basha. This is quite luxurious compared to many of the photos we hold of similar overnight stops in the jungle where their only shelter was a single poncho or piece of canvas.

Four shirtless members of the patrol relaxing in the camp.

The hardworking radio operator establishing contact with other members of the security forces. We pity him for all the equipment he needed to carry around in these most difficult circumstances.
