The Shaik Adam Mosque, along Clayton Road (next to St Michael's Institution, Ipoh). This mosque was built by Shaik Adam - the owner of the famed Kinta Ice Works and Aerated Water Factory (Taiping, Kampar and Ipoh). This Moghul-style architecture was built in 1908, and is said to cost around $500 000.

Government Office, Taiping. This building was completed in 1882, following several delays due to the texture of the land. The building consisted of the court house and offices. Later, the courthouse was converted into a town hall - which became the venue for the meetings of the Taiping Sanitary Board. At present, this building is the site for the Majlis Perbandaran Taiping (Taiping Municipal Council).

These pictures were taken by Percival Moss, a tailor who sewed uniforms for military organisations.
