John Munt Allison (4) - Two Unique Postcards
Both these pictures are taken off postcards from the late John Munt Allison. According to our Blog reader Charlie Choong, the scenes depicted in the postcards are part of the Nias Islands village in Indonesia. Sadly, this area suffered quite a bit of damage during the 2004 tsunami and the 2005 earthquake.
J M Allison was the Manager of the Sungei Siput Estate before he was killed by the Communists, at the start of the Malayan Emergency.
