Remark :

A box of Sunlight soap, originally produced by Lever Brothers Ltd in 1884. The second picture shows the back of the box, which includes user instructions.

It was the world's first packaged, branded laundry soap.

The third picture (from Ipoh Remembered) shows an advertisement from 1926. Note: the £1000 reward shown on that package (first picture) is also shown on the package in the advertisement. Subsequently he added another advertisement which advertyised  Sunlight Soap in one of the local Chinese papers in 1926. The importer is Huttenbach, Lazarus, whose Ipoh premises at the time were on Station Road, not yet in the still-unimagined Cheng Bok Building on Brewster Road.
