Remark :

No Malayan dollar notes or coins were in circulation during the Japanese Occupation of Malaya, these being replaced by Japanese 'Scrip' known as Banana Money due to the picture on the reverse of the $10 note. The complete range of these notes included, One Cent, Five Cents, Ten Cents, Fifty Cents, One Dollar, Five Dollars, Ten Dollars, One Hundred Dollars and One Thousand Dollars.

This 50 cents note measures approximately 17cmx8cm.
