Scenes From Cameron Highlands
Our donor told us that these pictures were taken at Cameron Highlands, probably in the late 1930s. Martin Allen (our donor) also mentioned that his mother - Heather Tattersall - was in Ipoh in 1938, working as a saleswoman for Whiteaway Laidlaw. Heather Tattersall married in 1943; she had two children, born in 1944 and 1947 respectively. Later, the Allen family spent 1949 in Iraq, when Martin's father was serving in the R.A.F. (Royal Air Force).
Martin also tells us that on the back of the fourth picture were the words:
"Mrs J****, Alan, and I and Wei Tin Po (new car) picnicing in the Highlands"
