The 'A' Troop Experience - Part 2
This is the second part of "The 'A' Troop Experience" generously donated to us by Tom Eadie, who served throughout 1955 to 1956 in Malaya. After being in Taiping for 10 days, the troops then moved to Sungai Siput. The first picture from the left is that of a main street in Sungai Siput taken in 1955, the next one is that of a view taken from the Sungai Siput Tin Tailing Gun position that same year.
The third picture is that of (from left to right), Gunner (Gnr) Willie Morrison, Bombadier (Bdr) Dennis McDermott, Driver (Dvr) Bert Coulwell, Gunner (Gnr) Swift, Gunner (Gnr) Nunn and last but not least Bombadier (Bdr) Tom Eadie. The last picture in this entry is that of the troops of Able 4 in action at Sungai Siput, (from left to right) Sergeant (Sgt.) McDonald, Gunner (Gnr) 'Taff' Lewis, Gunner (Gnr) Swift, Lance Bombadier (L/Bdr) Harold 'Haji' Abrahams, and last but not least Gunner (Gnr) Rollinson.
