An FMS Railway Police Gilt Cap Badge
A Federated Malay States Gilt Railway Police Cap Badge, a five–pointed star shaped with ‘F M S Railway Police’ between two circles and surrounding a tiger in centre. The overall diameter is approximately 5.5cm.
With regards to the estimated date of this artifact, Ipoh Remembered shared the following with us:
"It was in 1948 that the FMS Railways was replaced by Malayan Railways. Meanwhile, the Federated Malay States itself had been dissolved in 1946 to be replaced by the (short-lived) Malayan Union".
