These two notices date from the late 1950s in Perak State and relate to the Malayan Emergency strategy of General Sir Gerald Templer, recommended by Sir Arthur Young, Commissioner of Police. Templer replaced Sir Henry Gurney who was murdered by Communist Terrorists.
