Fort Legap Scenes - Part 3
From left to right the pictures show:
A barrackroom is taking shape in the early days of the fort's construction in 1952.
Next is a young Orang Asli close to Fort Legap who has just been using his blowpipe and poisoned darts to secure his next meal.
The third picture shows a group of Orang Asli with Dara Singh about to leave Fort Legap, destination Lasah with a load of parachutes salvaged from the supply drops. At the same time a relief platoon is entering the clearing in front of the fort with their Platoon Commander in the lead.
On the right is a platoon with their rafts in the early days of the Emergency. This method of transport lost popularity with the Police Field Force after an ambush at Fort Lockham.
