The first picture (left) is taken from the 1972 edition of “The Michaelian”. The building in the centre is the original bungalow in which the school was started in 1912. On the left is the new SMI school building as it stood when the La Salle Brothers took over from the Headmaster Mt P J Morsingh in 1920. The second picture (right), showing a close up of the original bungalow, is courtesy of Ipoh Echo.
