A Calendar From 1985 – Part 4
This is the final part of this picture series from the 1985 calendar. The picture on the left (October) is the Perak Turf Club. The long-roofed structure is the Grandstand.
November’s picture (centre) is of the Catholic St Michael's Church, located along Church Road (off Brewster Road), which is next to Sam Tet School. The church was founded by Fr Emile Barillion in 1890.
On the right, the last picture (December), is the SM Noor Recreation Park in Batu Gajah. To what we know, in the 80s this place used to be a concert venue for local bands like Search, Wings, Lefthanded and so on. Sadly, it has now been abandoned. Not much else is known about this park, hence further details will be much appreciated.
