The Chinese Protectorate Building, Ipoh
As Ipoh was becoming the epicentre of Chinese crime, the Perak Chinese Protectorate moved to Ipoh from Taiping in 1905 (once the building was completed). The Chinese Protector was here to solve crimes, as well as brothel, sanitary and vagrant problems.
