Rex Panorama No. 3 (Set 3) – The Birch Clock Tower
We believe this to be part of another set of Panoramas done by Rex Photo Studio. We also estimate the date to be 1950. This set is not complete, hence if anyone has the complete series please let us know.
This panorama shows one of Ipoh famous landmarks – the Birch Memorial Clock Tower. It is located along Post Office Road (now Jalan Dato Sagor). Behind the clock tower, towards the right, is the Straits Trading Building. Next to it is the States of Malaya Chamber of Mines and Tin Industry – in an earlier set of Panoramas, this building was still under construction.
