Remark :

During the 1960's there was a keen group of young men who regularly got together to make and fly model aircraft. They had a great deal of success and as the following photographs will show, won many cups in competition with other States.

These were the days before radio control and the planes were flown on control lines. A very different skill to today. In Ipoh most of the actual flying was done in Coronation Park, later to be renamed D R Seenivasagam Park after the famous local politician.

In the pictures from left to right are C K Leong (Richard), Foo Wan Seong at his home in Ipoh and displaying his trophies, and Peter Wang Shaoming our donor.
