Two Rubber Buckets
The dredge rubber bucket, said to be invented by Kinta Rubber Works replaced the old fashioned wooden mining bucket that was heavy, easily broken and expensive compared to the rubber version. The letters KRW can be clearly seen in the pictures. Usually fitted with removable steel handles and carried by two men with a pole and sling these buckets were used extensively throughout Malaysia with the bucket dredges,
One version of the bucket toilet utensil was identical to these but without the holes for the handles.
We have five examples of these buckets in our collection and one cane lifting sling.
