Remark : Ong Boon Cheong, youngest child and third son of Ong Bee Thye and Tan Siew Ewe and father of Mei Baker (nee Ong Wei Mei) was born in 15th November 1920. Boon Cheong married Lim Guat Kooi (born 1929) in 12th June 1948. We’re unsure how many children they had but one of their sons died in 1954.
The photograph on the left is the wedding picture of Boon Cheong and Guat Kooi in 1948 and the picture on the right shows a hand coloured photo of Guat Kooi, 19, taken just before she got married. Ong Boon Cheong died on 16th January 1993.
