Remark :

In the centre of this picture is the Lam looking Building as seen from across the Kinta River. This building housed the Lam Looking Bazaar on the ground floor and the Celestial Hotel and Cabaret above. It was one of the many masterpieces of B M Iversen, a Danish architect. Iversen also built a number of cinema halls in Ipoh, which were run by the Shaw Brothers. The far left of the panorama is the Foong Seong Villa; and on the far right is the Hugh Low Bridge.
