Remark : Armoured vehicles that are used in military operations can be divided into two families: either wheeled or tracked. These vehicles are also classified according to their functions on a battlefield.

This series of photographs show the various wheeled armoured vehicles that were used by 15/19 Hussars here in Malaysia during the Malayan Emergency.

From left to right the photographs show:

  • A Ferret Armoured Car, this vehicle replaced the Dingo. The Ferret above belonged to C Squadron 15/19 Hussars.

  • A trio of Daimler Armoured Cars parked at readiness.

  • A C Squadron 15/19 Hussars Ferret Armoured Car.
