Remark :

These four pictures taken during ipohWorld's visit to Han Chin Pet Soo on 9 January 2010 show what are believed to be the original fittings of this Hakka Miners' Clubhouse founded by Leong Fee in 1893. From left to right, top to bottom they are:

  • A general view of the downstairs entrance hall and meeting room. Note the photograph of the founder, Leong Fee, which greets the visitor on entry. This is reproduced as part of the story of Leong Fee, accessed through the link below.

  • A portion of the original tiled floor which extends through the building.

  • One of the set of Chinese, Mother of Pearl inlaid, chairs, one of which Leong Fee may well have sat in in the early days of this club.

  • A close-up view of the carved back of the above chair.
