National Engineering & Trade Lectures - British Progress In Pumps And Pumping Engines

The item in entry is that of a lecture on the progress the British had made in pumps and pumping engines which was written by Philip R. Bjorling in 1905. This particular publication talks about 8 different types of pumps (Pumps worked by hand, pumps driven by water-power, wind-power pumps, gas and oil engine pumps, hot air pumps, compressed air pumps, electrically-driven pumps, and last but not least steam pressure pumps) in 72 pages excluding the illustrations.
There is also a picture of John Addis together with Foo Choo Choon on page 136, showing a pulsometer pump at the Tronoh Mine.
